Real Parthenon

I am in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana and I will be visiting Athens, Greece to view the real Parthenon that is in a painting created in 1871 by Frederic Edwin Church. I spent thousands of dollars to travel to Athens, Greece to view this work of art. Traveling to see The Parthenon is worth my money because i'd like to gain insight about the city in which the Parthenon is located.Through this image I believe Church is trying to say that the Parthenon appears as a stubborn testimony to society. I decided to take a three day round trip which cost me $3,899.00 including a 3 day, 2 night stay at a hotel. The hotel I stayed in is called The Royal Olympic hotel, which was $150.00 a night. Europe is the continent in which Athens is located and Attic is the state that Athens is located in. Athens is known for their horiatiki salata which is a salad without lettuce. Grapes, olives, and grains are apart of the main diet in Athens, those items can be supplemented with chicken, eggs, yogurt, rice, cheese and many other items. Catching fish, working on a farm, and herding are all apart of Athens culture. The formal language of Athens is called Dimotiki. Greeks are very irrational, they believe in religion but also in the supernatural. One of the most valuable buildings of athens would be the solid rock named the “Parthenon”. The Parthenon is situated on the Acropolis Hill, it is created with marble and Doric Order which is the oldest form in Greek architecture. Other architectures in Athens include temples and theaters. Entertainment in Athens consistent of people meeting in the cafeteria to discuss politics, drinking coffee, and playing a game of backgammon. Dancing, theatres, festivals, and music are also a huge part of Athens entertainment. Mountains surround Athens, and most of the mountains are marble or limestone. Athens lies on a plane that has solitary limestone hills. Athens has a classic Mediterranean climate, with mild winters , and hot dry summers.
