They often lack basic skills that are important to many employers, even skills as simple as communication. Carol Morgan, a journalist for The Huffington Post, states “When employers are asked about the number one factor in their decision to hire someone, communication skills are almost always at the top of the list.” Morgan is a firm believer that our schools should be teaching more skills that can be useful in everyday life so that when graduates begin to seek for work, they will be better prepared. Schools need to be teaching more life skills to young people so that they will one day be prepared for the world of work.
