Real Estate Agent Personal Statement

A wise person once said that “money makes the world go around,” but there also must be people in charge of helping the money flow. When I was in middle school I first heard the words credit, mortgage and it was also the time I came across a TV network called HGTV. I knew that one day I wanted to educate people about maintaining good credit, so that I could one day put them in their dream home. To become a successful Real Estate Agent has always driven me in picking my college major. After doing research on a career in Real Estate I learned that sometimes the market crashes and earning income for your family becomes tricky. One day I was browsing around the internet to see what colleges offered degrees where I can be in the position to help others with their credit and concentrate in Real Estate, that’s when I stumbled upon The University of Alabama PhD in Finance. Getting this degree will provide me with the skills and knowledge to fulfill my goals. …show more content…
This would help prepare me for graduate school because prior to entering and receiving my Bachelor’s in Finance I would already gain a fair amount of knowledge with working in a Corporate setting, loans, credit and the MLOL would prepare me for my career as a Real Estate Agent. After three years of experience as a Financial Relationship consultant, finishing my bachelor’s degree, I will apply for The University of Alabama’s PhD in Finance program where I would also be allowed to concentrate in Real Estate. After a short while in the program I will study for my Real Estate Licensure Test and eventually take the test. There is no such thing as gaining too much knowledge in careers that you are passionate

I first met Lime Connect when I was in tenth grade and entered a Lime Connect essay contest that was sponsored by the New York City Department of Education. At this event, I met Susan and was instantly inspired by the Lime Connect’s innovative approach to redefining disability. I later had the opportunity to apply to the fellowship and fully immerse myself in the Lime Connect community. When it came time to apply for full time positions, I knew that I wanted to apply to Lime’s partners because I knew that they would be inclusive environments.…

The indecision of the importance between gaining college education or learning valuable job skills and creating jobs has cost money. Greenblatt reports, “The costs reflect foregone, or lost, federal and state income taxes and Social Security and Medicare revenue, along with welfare and unemployment insurance expenses” (qtd. in Greenblatt 244). The different standings on this have also lead young adults to fall into debt through student loans. Greenblatt states, “With student debt having tripled over the past decade to $1 trillion, some analysts believe it is hampering home sales to first- time buyers” (249).…

Why does Mr. Steven Levitt and Stephen Dunbner not like realtors? In a book filled with so many interesting questions, this would be the one I would ask the authors directly. This book by economist Steven D. Levitt, co-authored with Stephen J. Dubner, fuses together stories, anecdotes, data analyses, and discussions of unusually linked phenomena as it ask its readers to think more critically about the things that occur in everyday life. Things like how birth control has stemmed the crime rate, or how being named Shithead will decrease your job prospects, and ever so important, why you are being cheated by your real-estate agent. The insightful and provocative look of how these things are linked make this one of my favorite reads in a while.…

A person or family’s socioeconomic class can affect achieving this goal. Barbara and John Ehrenreich discuss the collapse of the middle class during the Great Recession in their article The Making of the American 99% and The Collapse of the Middle Class. It is suggested that race and ethnicity played an even bigger role in the loss of homeownership during 2007-2008. “African-Americans and Latinos of all income levels disproportionately lost their homes to foreclosure in 2007 and 2008, and then disproportionately lost their jobs in the wave of layoffs that followed. ”(Ehrenreich).…

This proves challenging for a person who spends large amounts of money for college to pay off their loans and sustain a living. “93 percent of all income growth in the U.S. in 2010 went to the top 1 percent of Americans” ( Mabry 1).
