Ready For School Research Paper

Getting ready for school makes me cantankerous because it means my summer is over. To get ready for school, I need to get into a routine, shop and go to Open House.

First, getting into a routine is one of the hardest things to do while getting ready for school. It is important to start taking showers at night instead of in the mornings. Also, I need to start going to bed earlier so I can wake up on time for school. I need to start eating a healthy breakfast like eggs and milk, not that I did not eat healthy in the summer , I just didn’t eat as well. To sum it up, getting into a routine is my least favorite thing to do while getting ready for school.

Second, I go shopping for the supplies I may need for the school year. I would start out with seeing what I already have and what I need to get. After that, I would go to the store and get the things I do not have. Then, I would go shopping for Dapper clothes and shoes. I would go to American Eagle and Vineyard Vines for my clothes. For my shoes I would go to Nike and probably get two pairs of shoes. Overall, I do not like shopping, but if I get it for free why not.

I go meet my teachers and I’m not sure if they will like me or I will like them. After that, I would find my locker which is hopefully in a good place so I do not have to waste a lot of time going to it. Finally, I would make sure with my teachers that I have all my supplies, then I would make sure I had those supplies. To sum it up, Open House is very helpful and sometimes dreadful.

Overall, I think getting ready for school is not that fun, but at the same time it makes me elated. I get to see all my best friends, but it means my summer is over. Well, at least I'm not just plain mad or

The area of my topic for my Capstone Project is the environment and the United States should stop the production of the North Dakota Access Pipeline. The pipeline is 1,172 miles long and it will transport 470,000 barrels of oil per day. The pipeline will begin in North Dakota, travel through South Dakota, and Iowa, and end in central Illinois. The pipeline will be placed through the Standing Rock Sioux land, which is in North Dakota, and the pipeline would affect their only water supply if the pipeline spills. I chose this area because the media doesn't show what is happening in North Dakota and I want people to be informed about what is going on in our country and stand with Standing Rock to end this battle.…

The most important activity that I have participated in during high school was marching band. Marching band has been the program that I have been dedicated to the longest. It has taught me necessary values and life skills, such as time management, discipline, and camaraderie. Rehearsing two to three hours everyday after school forces a student to learn how to manage their time. From July through November, a large amount of time is consumed by rehearsals, football games, and competitions.…

It was the beginning of high school, the start of a new chapter in my life; after coming into the school, the mall looked like the feeding of the five thousand. St. Thomas More has over a thousand students, and every single one was there on that first day, trying to find the way to their new classes just like me. Walking through the halls of St. Thomas More with the unfamiliar smell of the classrooms reminded me of what lies ahead. I thought it was going to be difficult, because I wouldn’t see anyone I know. Fortunately, some of my old friends from St. Pius were in my gym class, so I was glad that I would not be alone in gym class.…

Being a high school student is composed of restless nights, and eight exhausting hours of classes in which you are obligated to stay awake in. A normal school day begins with me snoozing my alarm about ten times before my dad walks into my room telling me the dreaded “time to get up for school” reminder which I just take as a suggestion. Normally I will drag myself into the bathroom about ten minutes later to begin my routine. I spend about 40 minutes in the bathroom preparing myself for school and by the time I am done it is usually time to grab all of my things and barely catch the bus. Now this has to be my least favorite part of the day.…

Does school affect your sleep Since the indolent days of summer passed everyone back to school waking up to a alarm going beep, beep, beep, beep, going repetitive until you make it stop. Going to school the first day was really hard because the majority went to bed late during summer which I am pretty sure that when it was the first day of school people woke up late, didn't want to go to school or actually woke up on time. School, a place where students get their education, well at least in my opinion. At school where there are crossing guards making sure that kids cross the road carefully, seeing a bunch of buses filled with kids, all kids walking or coming to one place, school, basketball courts, trees lined up in rows, grass always nice…

On a typical daily basis, I would wake up with the vibration from my smartphone alarm or the vibration from my Facebook messenger application notification. It was said that the neurons of the Somatic Nervous System carry information of the vibration from the external environment to the nervous system. By this, the information travels from the Central Nervous System to the effectors which can act on the external environment like striated muscles. In this case, the sensation of the vibration would then send neurons to my brain informing me that I should wake up. Putting that aside, the first thing I typically do when I wake up is taking a shower.…

Taking pictures in the front yard, being awake as ever despite not being able to sleep the night before, and a sense of optimism, excitement, and fear. These feelings and traditions are shared by many across the country on one special day: the first day of school. Most of the time I enjoyed the first day of school. I loved seeing who would be in my classes, I loved that I wasn’t going to receive any homework, and I loved getting a sense of what each of my teachers were going to be like. These feelings were especially multiplied on the first day of senior year.…
