Many of you one day or soon are planning to get ready for college. Have you really just sat back and asked yourself “am I ready for college”? Don’t worry I’m here to guide you so you have somewhat of an idea about what’s going on. College is much more different than high school, you will go through a lot of tasks and issues you don’t like yourself. Starting out in college there a lot of things I wished I were more informed on. First of all the SAT we know it is important but what I didn’t realize that those scores will also hurt or help you in the long run. You will really need to value the food that you have because you’re parents are no longer with you. In the beginning that was me who didn’t prepare enough groceries to last me the whole week. Also Prairie View decided to close the student center area to buy food earlier than expected. That had me heated, I was like how they gone do that when some people value that time they was open later to be able to go get dinner. So now I had to plan my eating strategy around that which I didn’t like too much but that’s just apart of being in college expecting things you may not like. My advice for you is to manage your money wise with groceries instead of going out and spending money. Now that you have read about what to expect before classes start, I will inform you on what to expect in the classes and advice on what to do about it. First if you want to succeed and become a more active learner, you need to attend every class everyday. I’ve witnessed how teachers are on the move going through notes and lectures without stopping. So if you miss class you may be missing something important and you are behind now. You never know when a teacher will quiz you that are why it’s important that you attend
