Readmission Reflection

Improved Essays
I am applying for readmission, as I would like to start afresh and improve the mistakes I had made in my first term ( Fall 2016). Since my last registration at University of Waterloo, I took lessons/help from fellow students on how to take tests, how to take proper notes and also how to be successful in the courses I will be taking in the future. Furthermore, I have been refreshing my memory by reading and making notes of the classes I previously had done. During my first term, my main issue and why I could not perform to my full capabilities, was because I was not sure how to take notes, how to study for classes etc. Even though, I studied hard and did not procrastinate in any of my courses, I did not receive the marks I wished for and the …show more content…
Another reason for my readmission, is that I would like to transfer to Kinesiology. I feel Kinesiology is a very interesting program as it utilizes exercise and human movement to understand how the body works. Kinesiology was always something I was interested in, and after researching about Kinesiology at The University of Waterloo, I am certain I will be successful in this program. I had chosen Honours Science (biomed) as I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do, but after going to Guelph and seeing their anatomy lab and talking to many students who have taken Kinesiology before, my decision to transfer into Kinesiology was proven to be right. Kinesiology is also more hands on, which makes the program even better as that way of studying and understanding things is very unique especially in University, I prefer and understand a lot better and faster when something is taught to me using diagrams or objects. After knowing what courses I had to take in my non-degree term, I asked several students for their exam study notes, class notes and their textbooks so I can understand the content and make sure when I go in the fall I'm ready and not confused with any of the material. In summary, I know what I did wrong in my first term and I know what I have to do to be successful in

In conclusion, I have combined together what binds these three articles, and the core focus and given valid points have concluded in identifying and resolving the problems of readmission risk within a hospital setting. As stated, preventing readmissions is imperative for the patient and the health care system, we have to acknowledge the significant problem of unnecessary complications and ultimately unwarranted morality. “I know applying to colleges is the last thing you want to do right now, but you might change your mind,” a trusted friend told me. It was December of my senior year of high school, and college application deadlines were approaching quickly. I was recovering from a major illness at the time, and wasn’t ready to think about college. My plan was to spend a year living at home and working before I pursued higher education. In the following months, my recovery progressed rapidly.…

During Summer 2014, I was accepted into the Prairie View A&M University Research Experience High School (REH) program. During this program, I worked closely with Dr. Branch-Vital and 2 of her graduate students to learn the process of conducting research. Upon the completion of the program, I completed a research poster titled: Examining Factors Contributing to BMI Among African American Freshman Students at a HBCU in a Rural Area. My experience in this program allowed me to get a broader understanding of the Kinesiology (then Human Performance) major. After I completed the program I began to fall in love with the major and ultimately the program made my decision to declare my major as Kinesiology.…
