Reading and Writing Reflection There was something so joyous about hearing a good story that made me want to stay attentive. As a child I would follow along with the teacher learn how to pronounce words correctly and memorize how the word was spelled. Once I started reading on my own the encouragement to read went away, and I stood away from books. The little I learned from reading and writing I tried to apply to my role as a student. The contribution of reading and writing in my life have been to assist me in my education as the difficulty increases, and to speak or write with authority. Reading has never been my strongest subject, due to the fact that I abandoned books. Although I could read fluently, I struggled to perceive the message
