By giving the students an opportunity to act out how they see the story in their head allows the teacher to address any misconceptions that the students may have while interpreting the story. Reading is supposed to be fun, and the more fun that the teacher can make it the more students will enjoy it. The students can start small by reading their script to their other group members. The more the student reads the script aloud to their group members, the more comfortable the student will be with reading the script. By the time the students have to perform their reader’s theater the students should almost have their script memorized. The more opportunities the students have to do a reader’s theater, the more opportunities the student has to build their confidence. Some teachers and media specialist have their class go around the school and perform their reader’s theater for other classes. This gives students even more opportunity to build confidence in their ability to read
