In the ad, Obama is sitting in his living room, which is interesting because he lives in the White house, so he could have chosen to film this ad in any room. He specifically chose to sit in his living room because it gives off more of an at home kind of feeling. This is beneficial in the advertisement because it makes the audience feel that Obama is relatable. If he would have chosen to film in the oval office, for example, the viewers would not get the same effect, they would just look at it as any other political video. The idea of making your viewers feel comfortable can really grasp their attention.
