One side of the class withe write down a list comparing both books and the other side will write a list contrasting the two books. Once the students have completed their independent work they will pair up with a classmate on the other side of the room to discuss their lists with each other. The teacher will then pass out a graphic organizer of a venn diagram to fill in with the lists that each student made up either comparing or contrasting the book. The teacher will be able to assess participation amongst the pair depending on the completion of each side of the venn diagram.
