Learning Experience Activity
Name of Activity: What I like about me, turkey
Age: 5yrs
Intended goal/s: The children will draw a hand turkey on paper and then choose five attributes they like about themselves to write on the fingers. This is a great activity to do in November around Thanksgiving. The intended goal of this particular activity is to promote a healthy self-concept and to strengthen the child’s ability to speak positively about themselves, in addition to, promoting self-awareness. Moreover, the children work on their fine motor skills while writing and coloring their turkey.
Materials needed: Construction paper, makers, crayons and pencils, premade example from teacher, white board with dry erase markers
