Razio: A Short Story

Desiree listened as Razio explained where he was from and what he did for a living. She could only imagine what it was like to grow up in Japan. She had never traveled out of the united states before. But she had read a bit about the country, it had become one of the Many places she wanted to visit. The old temples, the gardens, the history, "I've read about Japan before, I've always wanted to visit. Well I've always wanted to visit a lot of places. I've always let my mind do the traveling with books." she thought for a moment and nodded.

Razio seemed to fit the role of security well. He certainly had the strong and silent part down. She could see him taking down most anything that came his way. Again how she knew this was beyond her. Perhaps in the way he stood and held himself, or maybe she was just assuming things. Still Desiree had no doubt in her mind that with him around she was safe. "Well I certainly feel safer with you around." she admitted before thinking. "Where I am is, I live just outside Burlington. And Vermont is northern United States, beside New York."

yes it was true she had come to the show, and knew what was expected of her. But it was hard to believe that every woman here had some special ability. And despite hiding her doubt about the strange things from her past, some small pat of Desiree hoped it was true. After all being phsyic was much better than being crazy. But she had no intention of voicing that to Razio or the others of the show. Not when she was finally feeling good about signing up for the strange
