Who is Red, and what’s the appeal? Raymond Reddington is one of the FBI's Most Wanted. Known as "The Concierge of Crime", he has mysteriously surrendered to the FBI offering to share his 'Blacklist' of criminals. The very first episode redd has turned himself into the FBI, offering to help them capture a long list of criminals in front that his own immunity is secured and he will only work with Miss Elizabeth Keen. Red does appear to be a man who’s turned over a new leaf. However, there was a lot on the original side of that leaf, and we all know how hard it is to change lifelong habits overnight. I think that Reddington is a protagonist because until now he is helping the FBI to find the criminals in his list.
The first criminal was (Ranko Zamanhe) identifies for the agency, turns out to be an agent on the receiving end of Red’s own orders, until that man proves disposable. Another episode and Red has someone else poisoned (Isabella Rossellini).In the third episode when Red takes Liz on an undercover assignment to bring down a freelance Chinese spy who's targeting CIA agents. When he’s not being cruel, he maintains his own code that he sticks to, behind his corruption, there is also great discipline, and he also displays unexpected gestures of kindness to confound and amaze his fans. He obviously has access to great vaults of wealth, and yet there is nothing remotely materialistic about him..
Finally, we saw what happened when a character did something bad for good ends.Redd is a protagonist from my point of view but in the first episode, we thought that he is an antagonist until he helped the FBI finding the names in his blacklist. So don’t judge the book by its
