[2] As a child, Raymond grew up in a Catholic family. [5] Although he was a successful, diligent, and prosperous tractor-trailer driver for years, Raymond never truly knew what he wanted to do with his life when he was an adult – he always imagined himself as retired. [4] Visiting various vacation hot-spots has also enabled Raymond to cultivate his interest in languages. [2] Of all of these life adventures, the most important one which would define Raymond's life would be his conversion. [5] When he was asked, Raymond, although now extremely outgoing and friendly, blatantly asserted,“[6] I don't like people. I'm not a people person. That is something that God has had to work on me a lot. Cause God is a people person, and to be in His kingdom, you've got to like people; and I'm not a people person, but He has gradually been softening my heart.” [3] Thankfully, because of God's divine intervention, Raymond has become a humorous, welcoming friend – honest to the bone, but sensitive to the feelings of others, caring about them, thinking of them, and loving them with the same love that Christ first loved him. Although childless, Raymond Arthur Drainville will leave a God-honoring legacy because he has impacted every child and adult he has contacted with the contagious love and joy of his beloved
