To me a person who is a leader leads by example. Ever since I was in middle school I have tried to always do the right thing and guide my peers into a direction that is best for them. Since coming to Woodberry my Freshman year I feel as though I have grown stronger in this trait. One example that stands out particularly is when I was on the Bengal football team, and it was a scorching day early on in the year. It seemed as though everybody had a terrible day, and it was looking like we were having a horrible practice.…

That's the Merriam-Webster definition, but that seems far too simple a definition for a character who's actions and influences can reverberate for days, weeks or even generations to come. Often the word leader calls to mind a vision of Martin Luther King Jr., a military officer, or the President of the United States? A leader, in my opinion, is someone who leads a group with integrity, and with a passion to serve others. Leaders need to have values and character straits admirable to others.…

Leadership Kathy Dunlap Bethel University MOD 310 April 24, 2017 Kameke Payne Leadership No one theory of leadership has ever been accepted by all, but the common thought of leadership is that it is an influence process, occurs within a group, involves goals, and attainment. Some people think leaders are born with a trait that innately makes them leaders, while others theorize that it is a characteristic of an individual, but we have learned that leaders are a product of their development and life experiences. Leaders are concerned with understanding people’s beliefs and gaining their commitment.
