At AWS, having “bias for action” or the ability to make decisions quickly without having the time to extensively study the subject matter is important. Although, Ray tends to be “right, a lot” he takes an extensive amount of time to reach a conclusion. It appears that Ray has not yet achieved the ability to take a calculated risk, as he is afraid of making a mistake that could derail a project. To overcome this deficiency, Ray needs more experience and guidance to understand that AWS values taking calculated risks and needs to understand that many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study. To support this area for improvement, Ray has been extensively studying multiple products that could improve AWSs overall efficiency but, is apprehensive to create and/or suggest a working pilot to upper
