Books and thinking and talking, OH MY! Reading can take you to a new world. Reading can benefit you in many different ways. Not only does it make you more knowledgeable and widens your vocabulary, but reading makes you think. Is reading always the answer? In Ray Bradbury’s novel Fahrenheit 451 when technology twists society people can not gain knowledge. No books are to be read in this horrible and dark dystopia. Which limits the people to not be able to talk with one another that much. Everyone is wrapped up in the technology that surrounds them, they never stop to smell the roses. They never interact with each other. Even the closest people to you, your spouse, your best friend, or even a mother or father not have any contact with you, imagine that. When Montag finally realizes that reading is helpful not harmful he turns a new leaf and looks at his way of life completely different.

She is a teenage girl but not so much the average teenager. She likes to read and think! Because there is no thinking allowed in society, it seems to be that Montag is intrigued by her. When Montag meets Clarisse and she asks him if he is happy or not. This was the most pivotal moment in the book. On page 10 he thought to himself “of course i'm happy” but then he started second guessing himself. He started to think. This is just what Montag needed, someone to reach out to him and show him the reality of what life has to offer to
