In the book Fahrenheit 451 written by Ray Bradbury, the story takes place in 2053 in a unknow city somewhere in the US. The book was written in the past in 1953 it foreshadows the future and tells what is possibly going to happen. The book's mood is sad,depressing and boring, because all the people are always watching tv and also killing themselves because all the do is sit and do nothing in their terrible world. The ones who read on the other hand don’t sit and do nothing/killing themselves because they are doing better things than watching tv. Those are the one’s realizing their world is a terrible place. The main character in the story Montag. Montag is a 30 year old firefighter who enjoys his job burning book but hides a secret that he keeps some of the books he doesn’t burn. …show more content…
There's one more man, and his name is Captain Beatty. Beatty is the captain at the firehouse. Beatty shows in the middle of the book that he wants to die but doesn’t show it that well Beatty’s purpose is to be the antagonist. Event 1 in the book is Montag meeting Clarisse. He was walking home one night from work and he had met Clarisse. Montag notice she was a odd person she was always asking questions, but something about Clarisse made Montag feel happy. Sadly his happiness didn't last long because a couple of days later Clarisse had died for being hit by a car. The 2 event in the story was when Montag had started to read. At first his reading is normal but late rpn in the book he got carried away with it. Montag had read to Mildred and her friends one night and he didn't know what was coming for him for doing that. Mildred and her friends had callin the cops and told them Montag had had books and had been reading them also. The day after Montag had went back to work from being sick, and the had gotten a call
