Ray and one-eyed, an old man and his dog, the oddest of love stories. The pair have similarities in habit, emotion and character. Their differences complement each other in a way that gives them both peace. Peace that stems from a developed level of trust and respect for each other. Developing a relationship of love and devotion. Leading an old man to step outside his comfort zone and a dog with one eye that is willing to trust someone enough to let his guard down. It’s not your typical love story it’s better. A love between a man and a woman it’s predictable, it’s easy to know what’s going to happen next. But with Ray and his one-eye is a moment of the best kind of love, unconditional, the kind that lets an old man step try new adventures, in order to take care of his one-eyed dog.

Most of them were personality traits that most would be skittish of in a person or a dog. As I stated before I think that this works for Ray and One-eyed. Their unique idiosyncrasies complement one another. But there are times in the story where they just exist together. Enjoying their lives and the company. Ray going to stores just for the dog, engaging in conversation with people which is out of character, again for the dog. The dog obeying Ray coming when called responding to Ray’s affection and love. Love Stories do not have to just be about a man and a woman they can be about anything a person feels passion for that they can’t live without. Someone you turn your life upside down for and make many adjustments so they fit in your life. It can be a dog that has taken away the loneliness and give your life a purpose. For as much as One-eye appreciates all that Ray does for him. One-eye does just as much if not more for Ray. It’s
