A. General Information
1. At Rawlinson Road Middle School, technology use is a not a right, but rather a privilege. As such, administrators, staff, parents, and students must be appropriately trained in regards to technology use at Rawlinson Road.
2. Anyone who utilizes the technology resources available at Rawlinson Road must be aware of and comply with ALL of the requirements listed in Section B below. To help users understand and comply with the requirements, all students and employees will receive both a copy of this policy and training annually. I understand that technology provided by the district is for educational purposes only.
2. I agree not to misuse the school districts technology. I will use technology resources in a responsible, ethical, and legal manner.
3. I will act safely when using school technology. I will not give out my/any other persons family name, email address, home address, school name, city, country or other information that could help someone locate or contact me in person. I will not post identifying photos or videos without their consent.
4. I will not use district technology in an inappropriate/illegal manner. I will not give out my passwords. I will not disrupt network usage by others. I will not monopolize technology resources, use printing excessively.
5. I will not attempt to bypass school district filtering software.
6. I will abide by copyright rules at all times.
7. I will immediately notify a staff member or school administrator if I am the subject of harassment while using technology resources or if I witness inappropriate use of technology
