The immigration innovation act is a bipartisan bill that double the number of visas thus removing the limit of the employment based on green cards. The United States is currently facing an issue of approximately of 11 to 12 million undocumented citizens that extends to a wide range of issues. The Pew Research Center revealed Americans have mixed opinion if immigrants are beneficial or harmful to America. 50% of respondents state that immigrants are making the economy worse and more dangerous with their presence. While 28% and 7%, respectively, believe that they are making the economy better and crime is reduced. The bipartisan bill can aid the United State competitiveness by with the improvement of student visas and green cards. Foreign students have dual intent that provide them the necessity for their future in colleges.
