In the scenario that I listed above, about my ill pet, I feel that it was morally correct to terminate his life due to his circumstances. I’ve often thought of the quality of life that Cooper would have had if it weren’t for his illness. As I expand on what my understanding and thoughts on Rand’s theory of Rational Ethical Egoism, I’ve learned what my family and I decided to do was for Cooper was necessary. For better words I agree completely with Jean- Jacques Rousseau who took a stand on what Ethical Subjectivism was to her I quote her saying “ What I feel is right is right. What I feel is wrong is wrong” (5). This to me only supports my decision as being moral and proper when I had to make the decision.
