This makes Maliya’s relationship with her mother important in our exploration of her problems. Through her interactions with her mother, Maliya has learned some unhealthy relationship patterns and violent behaviors. Maliya feels that he has to live up to the roles set out in her family. This flawed thinking that she experiences has led to some self-destructive behavior, fighting, and withdrawing from others rather than asking for help. When approaching Maliya’s case from the perspective of Solution-Focused theory, she seems to become stuck in her problems. When something goes wrong in his life, she plunges into a state of self-hatred and negativity. When this happens, she is unable to remember all of the good things about herself and is only able to focus on the problem. With regard to her anger, Maliya gets caught in her pattern of anger and fighting. At this point she is unable to change her way of reacting when she feels threatened. When it comes to making good choices and decisions, Maliya is so intent on not messing up that she chooses poorly out of stress and frustration.
