The ROTC cadets miss this formation because Physical Training occurs during that time of the morning. Apparently it has come to conflict with what is called "mandatory BRC formation." It has not happened recently but I got smoked by my cadre because from their reports I have missed two consecutive BRC formations. I did mention the fact to them that I was excused because of PT but they did not care and neither did I because it was a easy session. The fact stands that they should have been notified by the higher ups of my situation and kept me accountable. It is not much of a problem as of now probably because they have gotten used to ROTC cadets not showing to the BRC formations. To reflect on this situation, there was a time when my troop had Additional Military Instruction (AMI) early in the morning, but at the same time I had PT again. I had to ditch AMI and because PT is mandatory for every ROTC cadet. It is also on top of my to-do list in the morning because it is part of the ROTC training which is my priority. This does have a piece of my identity because I am more focused at ROTC than Corps/Troop Activities. I tend to be more serious when it comes to the ECP program and although I messed up at times, they always help me with what I struggle
