Rat Dissection Report

Improved Essays
The objectives of this dissection was to examine the digestive system, the shape and location of the organs. Another objective of the rat dissection was to know the function of the organs in the respiratory system. For our last objective, for the circulatory system we had to identify the blood vessels and state their function. Rat dissections are done in this course because students get to see, touch and examine the organs in the body. Seeing these organs in person instead of just off a piece of paper helps students get a better understanding. They also get to see how these systems work, including their own body.

Meat is never cleaned, children are forced to work in factories, often losing entire limbs, and probably over half the populations do not have equal rights. Following your request, I have decided to give away the million dollars as you told me, Six hundred thousand to the one that needs it most, three hundred thousand to the next, and one hundred thousand to the last. After a little bit of thinking, I decided the meat packing industry needed it the most.…

In Silvercreek’s AP biology class the first big assignment given to you is the cat dissection and with it it an incredibly detailed and challenging writeup. When the teacher first told the class that the assignment would be completed independently within our groups with no class guidance we are all a little surprised since this had rarely ever happened before especially for something so significant and challenging. After the initial shock my group realized we would need to work together not only in the activity but in developing an approach to perform the dissection in a successful manner, we began by delegating tasks based on the talents and elements of our group with those who were more squeamish became note takers and photographers and…

Rathbone is such a unique homage to the ones who shared in President Lincoln last moments alive. It shows how this horrific event not only shook American citizens to their core, but also haunted those close to the Lincoln family for a much longer than the usual mourning period. To the Rathbone couple, who had personal relationship ties with the family, the tragedy slowly seeped into every aspect of their lives until it completely over took their mind. The tragedy of Lincoln along with the more recent death of Clara’s close friend Mary Todd Lincoln caused the family to teeter on the brink of madness for eighteen years until it becomes too much for them to psychologically handle and they finally topple over the edge with a bang. I was incredibly impressed with the magnificent historical fiction that one of our own Texas Tech students was able to create and share.…

We carefully removed 10 organs from our rat to take notes on. What we noticed was the homologous structures of the rats were closely related to our own body composition. Their internal organs were positioned in close relation to where ours takes shape, and they looked immensely similar.…
