Athletics have been a big part of the Saint Saviour community for many years. With the help of their coaches, students develop their athletic skills and achieve great success. As we get closer to saying goodbye to our talented senior athletes, here are three of the many who exemplify sportsmanship, hard work, and school team spirit.
Sofia Rapisarda is a talented and competitive tennis player who strives to be her best. When she first picked up a tennis racket seven years ago, she fell in love with the sport and cultivated a strong ambition to succeed. She is a dedicated and passionate player who devotes her time to the sport year round and has had a positive impact on her teammates. Rapisarda has achieved great success; she is First Singles on the St. Saviour Varsity Tennis Team and has earned herself a spot as a semifinalist at the Chase Aces Tennis Tournament. There is a bright future ahead as Rapsida plans to play tennis in college, continuing to display her love for the game. Every time she sets foot on the court she gives her best. Saviour Varsity Softball Team’s starting pitcher and captain. In 2015, the team placed 2nd in the Brooklyn-Queens CHSAA “A” Division for the 2nd year in a row. Sullivan has played softball from a very young age. She has been pitching since the third grade and started windmill pitching in the sixth. In addition to playing for the Pandas for which she has been named a two-time Table All-Star, Sullivan currently plays for the Diamond Dolls 18U Gold, a college showcase team located in Bronx, NY. They compete in USSSA, ASA, NSA and Triple Crown and College Showcase tournaments. Sullivan is looking forward to playing at the collegiate
