1. Identify and discuss the purpose and function of the Rapid Response Team (RRT). Rapid Response Team (RRT): This is specially trained and expert people in the healthcare sector that are always available and responds immediately to emergency calls from the nurses and the patient family when the needs arise, in order to reduce health care complication. The team normally consists of physicians who are expert in the intensive care unit, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapist, and medical resident. Veracity: The nurse is being delegated to be truthful, and to tell the truth as the best of their ability such as what they have seen, heard, or witness from the patient without lying to protect yourself or a co-worker. When a patient cannot earn your trust and find out that you are not honest, but a liar, he / she has no respect for you anymore. If this happens the nurse loses respect and reputation in his/her career.

Social justice: Every individual or patient should have the right to be treated equally and the ability to have all resources, no matter where they come from, educational background, religion, color of their skin, age, sexual preferences such as being a lesbian, gay, bisexual, patient with disabilities, rich or poor should receive the same respect and benefit. The quality of care should not change due to their level of status.
3. Describe the SBAR procedure for successful hand-off communication in health care agencies. Create a Patient care scenario and identify each of the SBAR components. Describe nursing actions and interventions that promote quality and safety in healthcare. Some of the main action is to remember the patient is the center key to ensure good care and the well-being of your patient. In this way, the nurse communicates the needs of the patient and choices with the interdisciplinary health care team and for the individual rights and treatments of care.
5. Describe how EBP and Quality Improvement contribute to safe, quality health care. The current Evidence – Based Practice has helped healthcare workers, including nurses to make quality decisions, judgement and has advanced clinical safety of medication administration, effective communicating clinical assessment report of a client encouraging the client to be autonomous and also nurse become advocates when the client is not competent to make the right decision on his own. Again nurses can use electronic data, such as technology in finding the right information and resources to prevent healthcare errors.
