“Every 107 seconds, another American is sexually assaulted. Summer has the highest rates of rape and sexual assault, while winter and fall has the lowest” (Francis). Not many people know how deliberate being a rape victim is. There is no excuse for rape and that’s what victims need to understand; it is not your fault. Little do you know, rape is serious social and public health issues in the United States. Women are overwhelmingly the victims of sexual assault and rape, while men are nearly always the perpetrators. Victims are being brainwashed by their attackers by saying it was their fault for being attacked. If you know someone who is a victim, speak out! That way, you can help that person and many other people who are being attacked and
