Rape can be seen in two of the episodes of 13 Reasons Why, which is a Netflix series. 13 Reasons Why follows a group of high school students as they piece together a story as it is described on a series of tapes by a girl named Hannah, who died by suicide. Rape is not the primary focus in this series, but it is brought up in passing and can be seen as one of the reasons Hannah committed suicide. In 13 Reasons Why, two girls are raped by the same guy at different parties. Hannah witnesses a friend, who was blackout drunk, being raped at a party by a football player named Bryce; Hannah is later raped by him at a party he threw, too. In the episodes, the perspective of the other characters involved are shown which portrays the effects of Bryce's
