The first quote from the book, "The Rap Yearbook" is from the song "Rapper's Delight" by the artists "Sugar Hill Gang". "Rappers Delight" was first introduced to the world in the year 1979. The reason I chose this song is because, it was almost like a turning point for music, but mostly the rap community. Some of my favorite quotes out of this song is, "See, I am Wonder Mike, and I'd like to say hello to the black, to the white, the red, and the brown." "Bonita Applebum" was first introduced in 1990 on the album "People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm". The reason I chose this song is because A Tribe Called Quest is one of my favorite rap groups and also because the rap song is about a guy trying to impress a girl, but A Tribe Called Quest took a rap song and made it sound like a non rap song.
