A typical school in Fayetteville, NC. It is made up of 35.7% African-American students, meaning Westover High ethnic distribution is drastically different when compared to other schools in the city.

Consequently, the education system must play catch up by using the vast influence of social media to assist teachers in teaching and providing value in the classroom. However, no one appears to know what the value is really. This is because social media can be harmful since its users are unpredictable, and the use is difficult to control.
I’m a firm believer that students benefit more from both student interaction and social platforms online. Those students are more engaged and do better than those that aren’t. Which to me is a clear indication that social media has a place in education.
Rap Music- It is well known that music is key in stimulating learning. Music offers an enhanced environment where students can connect effortlessly, and it also has several other benefits that affect their cognitive function. Even though rap music has been criticized, I believe that integrating rap music into education is a provoking way to translate both history and literature from textbooks to memory.
