How rappers talk does not put ideas in my head, but it does affect me. I am connected to the cause, because it is affecting women, but targeting the African-American women the most. There is a direct correlation which is a mutual connection. When people look at a video with African American women dancing, most people believe that all African American women behave in that manner. They become negatively influenced by what they see. It is almost as if society thinks its okay to treat us women badly. Rap music has almost made it okay for people to talk about us women with such disgraceful terms. People believe that they can treat and talk to the women any kind of way because they hear it in the lyrics and they see it on these videos and TV shows such as Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta, Bad Gils Club, and Flavor of Love. The shows are extremely disrespectful towards us women, depicting several women fighting just to have fame or a man. Our young women are not to feel the need that they have to wear small and tighter clothing just to get attention. Young women should not get disrespected by a men and think it’s okay because they see and hear it on the media. Young insecure girls are trying to find their identity and are finding themselves through the videos. If you don’t understand that this rap culture sets an example for our young women and young
