Raoul Wallenberg was born on August 4,1912, in Stockholm, Sweden. His father Raoul Oscar Wallenberg died two months before he was born. His mother, Maj Wising married Raoul Wallenberg’s father then married Fredrik von Dardel six years after her husband passed away. Out of this marriage came Raoul Wallenberg’s brother, Guy and sister, Nina. Raoul’s education was taken very seriously. He came from one of the most famous families in Sweden. He went to primary school in Stockholm. When he was nine years old he went to the Swedish State Experimental School. By the age of twelve his grandfather called him to Constantinople. The owner of the company was owned by a Jewish man he could not travel through most of Europe because it was unsafe for a jewish man to travel due to Adolf Hitler being in charge. Raoul Wallenberg travelled for him, it was extremely dangerous for Jewish men to travel into Hungaria, due to the mass murders of the Hungarian Jewish people. During the war this company supplied food to the red cross.
When the Germans invaded Hungary the jews were threatened by deportation, so they tried to get passports so they could go to neutral countries. Raoul Wallenberg asked if he could take action without the swedish ambassador's consent. Raoul Wallenberg also created safe houses for Jewish people he saved around 100,000 Jewish-Hungarian people. He has no living relatives alive today.
In July 1944 Raoul Wallenberg began giving out certificates of protection to jewish people. Raoul Wallenberg was last seen July 17,1947. There are rumors that he was murdered after getting in a car with his chauffeur. . This wasn’t officially stated tile December 2000, he was killed while being imprisoned in
