Having read the assigned College Paper Case Study I find it hard to attribute responsibility to anyone other then Reggie himself. Reggie chose to plagiarise the online essay and would be solely responsible for the consequences of that choice.
If forced to attribute a ranking to the other characters I would do so as follows:
Ranked second - Arnie, the other student
The reason I would rank Arnie in second place would be that Reggie probably feels that Arnie is partly to blame due to the fact that if he had not also submitted a similar paper then Reggie's fraud would have gone unnoticed. As stated above this is not a position I support but it might be a rationalisation that Reggie would use to excuse his actions.
Ranked third - Sally, the academic counsellor …show more content…
Again, a rationalisation that I could not support. Sally was unable to offer him any further support as he had not done the required prep work. The counsellors role is not to do the work for the student but rather to assist in understanding the
