Characteristics Samples were taken from 14-15 year old (9th grade) students that consented to participate. Eligible schools included state, catholic independent in Victoria. These schools needed to have between 40 and 250 students. Letters then were mailed to giving information regarding the study and offering participation. There were a total of 171 students who had seen his/her general practitioner.
Authors state that they had difficulties obtaining the required number of recruiters from each school, which was 40-250 40- 250 students. One of the problems was that they needed signed permission from a parent/guardian.
