Ramesses III was the II pharaoh of the XX dynasty.His long reign saw decline of Egypt’s power. During his reign Egypt was invaded by the sea-peoples and Libyans.He defeated the Libyans twice during their battles.These battles cost the decline of Egyptian empire in Asia.

After those events a volcano Hekla III erupted which stopped the national tree growth for almost two decades.It also caused grain prices to go up during the later reigns of Ramesses VI-VII. During that time the first ever recorded labor strike occurred. During that time the Hekla III eruption prevented sunlight from reaching the ground.
