In Lord of the Flies by William Golding the leader is Ralph, and I also agree with the author with this choice. If I had to follow a character in this book it would most definitely be Ralph for multiple reasons and my reasons are based off my past experience at school and in sports. Ralph is a great leader because he sees the big picture or the ending destination for that particular goal and how to accomplish it. Ralph in the story sees that task at hand as processes not only in his head what has to be done but also is vocal to others in the story about what has happened and what needs to happen to fix it.…

In the thrilling novel, Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, a group of young British boys are stranded on an island and over time become brainwashed by the themes of group mentality and human nature. As the story progresses, a distinct line between leaders and followers is noticeable. Ralph, a leader with moral characteristics, is a less popular leader, while Jack, a leader with less moral behavior, is more successful and powerful. Although it is important to have control over a group, the ability to possess strong moral behavior is what truly makes a good leader. First, a good leader must possess the ability to understand what is wanted by the group and take action from the demands.…

In the novel, Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, the character that I would’ve chosen to follow would’ve been Ralph. Ralph exemplifies good leadership skills throughout the book. He is able to make lawful decisions that benefit the others while maintaining his focus on getting rescued off the island. Although most of the boys on the island decided that following Jack was a better way to go, Ralph still proved he was the better leader. Goulding chose Ralph to be the leader in the beginning of the book because Ralph didn’t think like most of the other boys did on the island.…
