Ralph's Leadership In Lord Of The Flies

In my opinion, Ralph was an amazing leader, even though at times he had his flaws. If it wasn't for his leadership the time they spent on the island would have been way more chaotic. Though towards the end of the book his leadership started to decrease. I believe, his leadership started decreasing because all of the stress he was under, which started his flaws. But no one is perfect, everyone has their flaws, even leaders, and everyone h. Ralph had a lot of good qualities for being a leader. Ralph took getting rescued very serious, he thought "after all we aren't savages really and being rescued isn't a game." He felt like, "there was something good about a fire. Something overwhelmingly good" he had always tried to make sure the fire was going, he thought of it as a way for comfort, also the smoke was a signal. Also, when the topic of a beast was introduced, Ralph tried to get everyone's mind off of it. Jack and Ralph were always fighting, because Jack didn't agree with him being the leader. Mob mentality was a big influence of most of Ralph's flaws. Like when everyone was so into their pig dance, which Ralph was apart of, and killed Simon. So when answering the question "Was Ralph a good leader", my answer is yes. Everyone knows that no one is perfect. He had his flaws and his good moments. Even though Ralph wasn't a consistent good leader, he still was a very good leader to me. He also knew he was a good leader by taking responsibility for the group at the end of the book. If that's not a great leader, I don't know what
