Emerson described the Over-soul as a force that connects every living thing on the face of the earth to eachother, and to their creator. He believed that in order to access the power of the soul, we must first become as little children, and see the world through their eyes. Once we were able to access the immeasurable power of the over-soul, we would learn of our own individual purpose layed before us by the creator, and be given all the tools necessary to carry it out.
