The classic definition of a hero is: a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. A hero is a person who leaves the norm of their world, a hero is also a person who accepts the problem and then tries to overcome it anyway. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said “A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer.” A hero is a person who is willing to go and face the challenges, a person who is brave, and a person who will adapt to the changes. An example of this is Hitler who didn’t want people who didn’t believe in his religion to live this meant that he wasn’t willing to try to adjust his lifestyle for them and that he was selfish. He didn’t want people who were against his religion to live and because his religion apparently allowed it he started to kill the offending people. As he was killing people he claimed that it was just for him to do so. Another example of someone who is not a hero would be John Dickinson he was a patriot who wanted peace with the king but also wanted his rights as a british man but was unwilling to take the thought of losing men so he denied it. In conclusion a hero is someone who is faces a challenge. A hero is also a person who is adaptable so that they can survive in their new world, willing to face the challenge/problem, and is brave when confronted.
