Ralph Waldo Emerson: A Hero

Improved Essays
According to Ralph Waldo Emerson in order to be a hero one must portray the traits of a warlike attitude, able to handle an onslaught of infinite enemies alone, disregard for his own safety, and the will to go happily in battle. While this is one way to look at a hero there can be many more. For us a hero does not need to have all those features. He can be a random person on the street that you never hear about. Could be someone you look up to. We believe that a hero is just someone that has the courage and will to do what is right for others without expecting any sort of reward. A hero is someone that shows respect to their fellow man without a second thought.
