Lord of the Flies is all about leadership. A good leader is someone that knows they have power, but don’t exploit that power. They need to be self-aware to realize their weaknesses and strengths. They need to have good communication, motivation, and need to set goals for the community to achieve as a team. Ralph represents good leadership. He is civilized, charismatic, and intelligent. He demonstrates common sense. Ralph always considers the rest of the groups thoughts and feelings. When they have something to say he listens and tries to understand their point of view.
