Choosing the Raleigh Rescue Mission Many people believe in helping others or donating, and say that they do, but don't follow through with their claim. The Raleigh Rescue Mission saw the need for aid in the community and officially opened in 1961. They have helped men, women, and children throughout Raleigh with homelessness or hunger issues. This charity stands out the most, since they serve common needs for Raleigh, have measurable goals, and all contributions to the organization have a visible impact. The Raleigh Rescue Mission has been helping common needs and Raleigh for about 50 years, such as homelessness and hunger. They provide shelter and clothing for the homeless. This helps people protect themselves and people get off the street
