Raisin Day Parade Research Paper

This season was one of the best experiences for me in my life. The month of October was really stressful with Drama and everything else that was going on for me, but it was worth it especially for band. The field show solo was an amazing opportunity for me and it was an honor to be given the privilege to perform it. I got to connect with more band members a lot more than I did last year. This band is the best band I have ever been a part of and I hope I can be apart of it these next two years. The best parade this year was the Raisin Day parade in my opinion. We were going strong and keeping the same pace without getting tired. This is what showed that this band was not going to back down from all the amazing bands that we would soon face. I was also proud and very impressed of how the band stayed focused when they needed to be focused during the time of learning our field show. That was when I believed even more …show more content…
Our percussion did really well as well as our auxilary. Our band did well too even though we did not place top three. However, this was the review that saw our addition to the field show. Angelica did an amazing job with our cheoreography and our stunning performance was more than plenty to recieve the Grand Marshal’s award. It was an honor to recieve this award for two years in a row, and this left a big impression to the bands in the Selma review. Here it is, the last review of the season. The seniors are participating in their last band review as an Emperor Band member. Man, what a way to end the season off! Our band did outstanding, and though Orosi and Mt. Whitney were right on our tails, we still managed to take parade sweepstakes. Our field show was the best it ever was and it was enough to make our total score the best out of all bands and win the Grand Sweepstakes of the 2017 Orange Cove Band Review. When I said this band never gave up and always did their best, they had proved it in this band

The group that I will be reviewing in this paper is the student combo that I enjoyed most of all, the group that performed first and was directed by Dr. Routenberg. The group consisted of Andrew Fiorini on the trumpet, Noah Johnson on the trombone, Meghan Walls playing the piano, Andrew Moser on the electric bass, and Collin St. Mary on the drums. Regarding the music…

Ian and Chloe both also learned how important teamwork is and how everyone has something different to bring to a group. Assets such as these have helped to better prepare these two seniors for college and their careers. Winning a gold medal this year is really important to Ian and Chloe because it’s nice to be recognized for their hard work and effort. Although winning a gold medal is a major perk, these seniors assert that Drumline has been so much rewarding than just that. Drumline is like one big family, and everyone in the battery has become so much closer as a result of that.…

I appreciated the effort and music the mariachi group gave in their performance. I noticed how the trumpet usually took the main role while the violins supported the trumpets voice, usually by pizzicato. The guitar and guitarrón were mainly the background music that played the same rhythm over and over. It made me realize the beauty of…

Personal Narrative It took us about 3 hours to get to Shakopee, it was only 60 degrees, but with the thousands of people lined up, waiting to get in, it felt like 90. We stood in that line for two hours. For awhile, we talked, we met a variety of people, we laughed, we were excited. But once we got closer to the front of the line we all got quiet, this is it, we were in, we were all going to see our idols.…

The band did a great job performing and the singer was amazing. I really enjoyed singing along and jamming to the music. The singer had a “jazz” voice, which really went well for my favorite piece of the night, Four Women. I also thought it was cool how everyone in the band had a chance to shine with their solos, but my favorite solo was definitely the singer.…

There is something about sitting in the cold air in a pair of marching band overalls, a coat you can’t unzip, and screaming at the top of you lungs. Now you would not think that would be fun but it is absolutely breathtaking. Also, performing on a football field your team is winning on and just playing and marching the best to your ability and then you hit that…

Northern Invasion was the time of my life. I haven’t stopped thinking about how awesome it was even though it was a couple months ago in May. There were forty bands over the course of two days and of course I tried to see as many as I could. I still can’t believe I actually saw some of my most favorite bands. Here are some stories about what it was like during four of those bands.…

Thankfully I am bless enough to have some good friends, and I could go to my friend’s birthday, which there was a band called Cultura Tres, this band played one of their most popular songs called Agrecion, basically. This is a rock band; therefore, instrumentations were an electric guitar, keyboard, drums, and voice. Another reason why I loved this little concert was because of the music, these guys are unquestionable professionals; the overall dynamic level was laud and it was positively not danceable and it was a four beat patter…

Therefore, upon graduation this May, I anticipate touring with the nationally renowned Crossman Drum and Bugle Corp. This will broaden my horizons and will enhance my music ability. Since my first formal band program in fifth grade, I have had a propensity for music. I plan to instill this passion in young people. I have auditioned with the band directors at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, and secured a spot in their concert, marching, and jazz band.…

Throughout high school I had always had a fascination with live performances of any kind whether they be band performances, talent shows, karaoke nights as goofy as that sounds, and even plays. As such I thought seeing a live performance of Miss Julie at the Arkansas Tech Theatre would lighten my spirits and shine a light on some the young talent in the world that happens to live next door to myself. What was performed on that stage far passed any expectation, any standard, and definitely wiped any doubts I had. Upon first entering the theatre my mood was of course a little down because I was stuck in the mindset that I was just here because I had to for a class. It is a rough thing to be honest about but it was how I felt at first.…

It was very exciting to see these choirs sing with such passion. I also really liked listening to instruments live. I would rather listen to a pipe organ being played live than on a CD too. In my opinion the pipe organ sounds a lot better when it is played live too. This concert allowed me to hear new instruments live, which was a tremendously amazing experience.…
