I think having “raise my virtual child” helped me understand the lectures. When I am interacting with my child, I don't necessarily think of the repercussions my interactions have on him: however working with “my virtual child” allowed me to realize my actions have consequences. Working on the assignments on this class created a new perspective towards my own child. It helped me understand more on what he is actually going through and recognize his abilities and restrictions. I started being more involved in his homework, and allowing his to explain himself more. I even enjoy his stories and encourage his interests. I try to take him to more educational outings, such as the Zoo, the children’s museum, etc. I realize now how important those
