Rainsford's Presentation Of Characters In 'The Most Dangerous Game'

Rainsford knows what the animals feel like when they become his target of attack. Ship-Trap island is like all of your worst fears in one never ending nightmare. In the story “The Most dangerous game” included a man named Rainsford was very passionate about his favorite sport which was hunting. As he was riding a boat with a friend he fell off the yacht and swam to an island that he thought would keep him safe. But what he did not know was a psychopathic man named Zaroff lived there. After Rainsford leaves the island, he will never go hunting for humans or animals again, after his horrendous experience while hunting on Ship-Trap Island. Rainsford will not continue doing his passion because of the terrible time he had while playing the general’s game. After being on the island for awhile Rainsford finds out what General Zaroff hunts. In the beginning the only reason Zaroff started to hunt humans is he began to get bored of unintelligent animals. So when rainsford ask if there “is their big game on this island” Zaroff knows is looking for better animals to hunt. This makes Zaroff think that maybe; their similarities were enough to make Rainsford want to hunt humans. When the begin the deadly game Zaroff makes Rainsford not only be hunted but also do some of the hunting. But what Zaroff does not expect is that he would have to say “you’ve done well [to] Rainsford”. Rainsford is so skilled at hunting that he has exceeded zaroff's expectations and became more like him. By the end of the game Rainsford has became good at hunting humans. He became so good that he “won the game”. This means Rainsford has done some well that he beat zaroff in his own game and is better at hunting humans than zaroff. So by the end Rainsford was so scared of being like Zaroff that he will do anything (even stop hunting) to prove he is
