Rainsford went to investigate that piccular noise. As he approached the noise he realized they are voices. He then heard a very weird noise….A CHOPPER? What is a chopper doing on the island. The chopper got in range to where he could read the side of it, FBI. With him reading the side of this chopper lead to more questions.

This is where they interrogated them. They asked Rainsford a series of questions about the human remains on and around the island. Rainsford tried his best to convince them of his innocence, however they weren’t compliant.
After a few days, in what solitary confinement they could provide, Rainsford decided to tell the whole truth. He told them about General Zaroff and his “game”. He told them about the other people he has murdered before. He told them about how he asked Rainsford to play and how he begged to leave. He told them about their matches of the game and how Rainsford jumped off the island. He then told them the hardest thing he had to, he fed General Zaroff to the hounds.
After the truth came out, Rainsford was taken to the FBI headquarters in Washington D.C. There he underwent even more questioning. After all the questioning and interrogation, Rainsford was sentenced to fifty years behind bars and 30 on parole. Rainsford died not to long after the start of his sentencing. Autopsy showed that Rainsford had contracted a rare disease, morgellons. He contracted this disease from, Ship-Trap
