The theme in this story or the main message is that look at things in different perspective. I think that is the message in the story because during the story Rainsford is very proud to be a good hunter, but he didn’t think about the perspective of the animals. He only thinks that hunting is a sport he is passionate about but he doesn’t care about the hundreds of animals that he killed but collecting their heads to hang on his wall.
One of the irony in this story is Rainsford is a hunter and he said that the world is made up of 2 classes the hunters and the huntees but by the end of the story Rainsford becomes a huntee and experience the pain and fear of getting hunted.
