Raff's Home-Personal Narrative

Raff relaxed into the soft leather seat, pleased with the comfort and beauty. Impressed with his new car he drove it at its top speed up the tight, winding, mountain roads. The car gripped the road’s surface as it flew around corners with extreme precision. It definitely had been worth the money.

He pulled into a dark parking lot. The light from the moon barely shone on a dilapidated building set further back. He parked away from the only four other vehicles. Hours of driving to meet in this dingy bar? Well, at least he was able to get his new car out on some open road. He ran his hand over the soft steering wheel.

Pine scents came from all directions, as he walked across the lot. A familiar sense caught his attention, but he didn’t break stride.

Raff Shrugged, “Well you will have to just have to get over it.”

Alex narrowed his eyes again and the sleeve of Raff’s shirt was on fire.

Raff lifted his hand and blew out the flame on the cuff of his shirt. He turned to Alex with a hard smile, “new trick little brother?”

Alex shrugged, “move some where else Brother. You are not welcomed here.”

Jason admonished Alex, “this is not the place to air your grievance with your brother. I would appreciate if you did not display this sort of behavior here.”

Raff turned to the others at the table.

Frederick nodded at Raff, and turned to Alex. “We will not begrudge Raff. He is welcome to live here.”

Anthony was starring at the singe marks on Raff’s shirt and let out a deep breath. “Alex, maybe you should visit your estate in Spain for a little while.”

Alex stood, but before he could make another move or say a word he grabbed his chest. Wincing with pain, he sat back down. As the pain reseeded he glared at Raff, “looks like you also learned some new tricks. I don’t know the last time I felt
