Radiology Research paper Scientist Wilhelm Roentgen accidentally discovered X-rays while studying the pathway of electricity. He realized this when he saw objects in the picture that wouldn’t usually appear in a normal photograph. Roentgen’s discovery was soon after, advanced further by Dr. Harvey Cushing in the first diagnostic clinical X-ray. 1902 was the first year they were used for ground breaking brain surgery, he used the technology to view and assist removing malignant and non-malignant tumors in the brain. To become an outstanding Radiologist you will have had to complete a voluminous amount of schooling. Because Radiologist and such highly educated professionals, they have a very long road of education ahead of them. This journey typically begins by getting into a vouched for university, such as Armstrong Atlantic state university ,and receiving a bachelor’s degree including medical prerequisite classes such as biology, chemistry, and physics.the road will continue with four years of medical school including two years of sciences such as anatomy, pathology, pharmacology , and biochemistry. The second half of medical school you will be involved with clinical rotations in medicine, such as pediatrics, psychiatry, surgery and internal medicine. Although there is a violent amount of work and education put in and put forth to becoming a radiologis, it certainly has wealthy upside. In national statistics it shows that a radiologist makes an annual wage of at minimum $324,278 and at most $433,171. The mean hourly wage would be about $83.78. I perform fluoroscopy examinations, give epidural steroid injections for back and leg pain, review requests and direct technologists who do CT, MRI and other scans. I interpret those scans, mammograms, chest x-rays, ultrasounds and other imaging studies. I spend about one hour on administrative tasks. I usually finish up between 5 and 6 p.m., but when I'm on call, the day just keeps going. Additionally, since I am part of the leadership structure, I also attend evening meetings once or twice a week”. Quoted by Richard levey.
